Every time I start to type, I can't find the words. The keys are sitting there in front of me, but stringing a sentence together seems so hard at the moment.
I've always believed in karma, but I don't understand this string of bad luck Nathan and I seem to be having. Whenever things start to work out, something else goes wrong. We finally got our fibnances sorted out, and the car has broken down. It's going to cost over $2500 for the parts to fix it, and we just dont have that sort of money. I've racked my brains as to how we can come up with it.
Sell some stuff? Sell my body? Sell a kidney?
I dunno.
There are so many people worse off than us, but the truth is that no matter how happy you are, you still need money. It's stressful to live on a tight budget, although I have learnt a lot of ways to save money.
Hell, I could write a book on living off a budget.
Did you know that Big W sells baby products in bulk which work out cheaper than anywhere else? Did you know thaty if you have a concession card you can get your purchases for cheaper at the Op shop on Tuesdays? Did you notice that I'm not afraid to admit that I love Op shopping? Did you know that buying meat directly from a farmer is the cheapest way to eat meat? Did you know that you can get the recipe for most takeaway meals on the internet, including the 11 secret herbs and spices? Did you know there are thousands of ways to eat rice and potatoes?
Living cheaply isn't news to me. I've never had money to spare. One thing I always wanted was to buy one of those huge boxes of chocolates from Cadburys (You know the ones with all the imperfect chocolates?) A few days ago I finally got to buy one. I have these visions of sitting and eating the entire box until I made myself sick.
In reality after 5 or so chocolates I do make myself sick so I guess they will last awhile.
In other news, Emily is teething. At 14 weeks. She chews on everything, including my hands, hair and clothes. We have given her a dummy (even after I swore against it) and she holds it and chews for hours.
With the teething comes the dribbling.
I wish she was crawling already so that I could attach a mop to her and she could crawl around cleaning the floor, dribbling, then mopping, dribbling, then mopping.
The happy wanderer returns.

Sorry about the money stuff, it sucks. Cars are stupid and expensive to fix and I hope that, somehow, it works out :(
Also... wowsers! Teething! My monkey brothers aren't teething yet and they're 8 months... *sigh* I hope it doesn't make them too cranky when it does happen.
xx
Teething?! WOW! Sucks when it happens. Luckily it wasn't until 11 months with Amy, so I don't expect it to happen with Isaac anytime soon.
Money stuff sucks. I know how you feel.
thanks, I think it is going to work out! just got some excellent news!
Yeah teething, I didn't believe it until I saw her gums going white and lumpy. At least we can get it over and done with?
